Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

History, Non-Stop is designed to be privacy-first and safe for use in schools. We do not collect personal information.

What we do not collect

We do not collect names, emails, or any personally identifiable information. There are no user accounts. We do not sell data to anyone.

Analytics (aggregate only)

We use Plausible Analytics, which is privacy-focused: no cookies, no cross-site tracking, and GDPR compliant. We only see aggregate statistics (e.g. how many people visited a page, which features were used). We cannot identify individual visitors.

Schools: You can disable analytics on any page by adding ?noanalytics=1 to the URL (e.g. https://yoursite.com/learn.html?noanalytics=1).

Browser storage

We only store data in your browser (localStorage) for your own experience: theme preference (dark/light/etc.) and, if you use the Learning Pathway, your progress (e.g. which levels you completed). This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers. We do not have server-side user storage.

Children’s privacy (COPPA)

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The site is designed so that no registration or personal data is required. Analytics are aggregate-only and do not identify individuals. If you are a parent or educator and have concerns, please contact us via the GitHub repository linked in the footer.

School mode

For use in schools, you can add ?school=1 to any URL to enable school mode: social sharing buttons and external links (e.g. GitHub) are hidden so students stay on the site. See For Educators for details.

Changes

We may update this policy occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version.
